    Security Watch is NPRA’s weekly digest of important security-related events, announcements, and background stories from government and industry. The newsletter is written for members of the refining and petrochemical industries who have facility security responsibilities. It is available to NPRA members only.

    A biweekly newsletter highlighting developments in safety, plant security, technology, government regulations, and NPRA technical meetings for the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. It is available to NPRA members only.

  • API/NPRA Security Vulnerability Assessment Methodology

    NPRA and API have now published a second, updated edition of the Security Vulnerability Assessment Methodology for the Petroleum and Petrochemical industries. The first edition was published in April 2003.The new edition incorporates security information dealing with truck and rail transportation to and from facilities. This methodology is an effective tool for helping management to identify security vulnerabilities at petroleum and petrochemical industry facilities and then to evaluate the best countermeasures to provide safe operations for employees and the public as well as increased environmental protections. The information has been developed in cooperation with government and industry and is intended to help refiners, petrochemical manufacturers, and other segments of the petroleum industry maintain and strengthen facility security.
